Dear Brothers & Sisters,

Jesus said the poor will always be there. 

Deuteronomy 15:11: “There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land.”

The power of this passage comes earlier in verse 10

“Give generously to him and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.”

The real power is in the giving. The sharing of yourself with others. What appears to be a simple act is extremely difficult to practice. When practiced all the blessing of God are bestowed upon those that give.
